چکیده
Abstract The profile, radius, and energy of chiral skyrmions, found in magnetic materials with the Dzyaloshinskii–Moriya (DM) interaction easy-axis anisotropy perpendicular to film, have been previously calculated asymptotic limits small large skyrmion as functions model parameter. We extend analysis case an external field or a combination field. formulae for radius are then modified, by use fitting techniques, into very good approximations through almost entire range radii, from zero infinity. include study effect magnetostatic on profile two cases. compare bubbles, stabilized without DM that skyrmion.

Switching of chiral magnetic skyrmions by picosecond magnetic field pulses via transient topological states
Magnetic chiral skyrmions are vortex like spin structures that appear as stable or meta-stable states in magnetic materials due to the interplay between the symmetric and antisymmetric exchange interactions, applied magnetic field and/or uniaxial anisotropy. Their small size and internal stability make them prospective objects for data storage but for this, the controlled switching between skyr...
متن کاملTopological Quasiparticles: Magnetic Skyrmions
Magnetic skyrmions are topologically distinct spin textures and can be stable with quasi-particle like behavior, such that they can be manipulated with very low electric currents. This makes them interesting for extreme low-power information technologies [1], where data is envisioned to be encoded in topological charges, instead of electronic charges as in conventional semiconducting devices. U...
متن کاملDynamically stabilized magnetic skyrmions
Magnetic skyrmions are topologically non-trivial spin textures that manifest themselves as quasiparticles in ferromagnetic thin films or noncentrosymmetric bulk materials. So far attention has focused on skyrmions stabilized either by the Dzyaloshinskii-Moriya interaction (DMI) or by dipolar interaction, where in the latter case the excitations are known as bubble skyrmions. Here we demonstrate...
متن کاملUtilization and control of bioactuators across multiple length scales.
In this review, we summarize the recent developments in the emerging field of bioactuators across a multitude of length scales. First, we discuss the use and control of biomolecules as nanoscale actuators. Molecular motors, such as DNA, kinesin, myosin, and F1-ATPase, have been shown to exert forces in the range between 1 pN to 45 pN. Second, we discuss the use and control of single and small c...
